Electric Outlet Install & Repair

There are several reasons as to why you you may need to install a new outlet, or repair an existing one. Whether you’d rather have your washer and dryer on the other wall, you have an upgraded appliance that requires a larger outlet than what you already have installed, or perhaps you’ve had an existing outlet crack or break causing a very unsafe situation in your home.  Regardless of the reason, Watt Masters electricians are experts in getting the job done safely and correctly.

Here are some of the types of outlets we can install for you:

  • Standard 15 or 20 Amp, 125 volt Outlets — This is a regular wall outlet that is most common around your home.

  • Heavy duty 20 Amp, 250 volt — “Heavy duty” outlets often look different than a regular outlet, and are used for major appliances like washing machines and dryers.

  • GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter outlets)  For your safety, a GFCI is required within 6 feet of water! These are often found in kitchens, bathrooms, and outdoor areas. They even make these in circuit breaker form to protect an entire circuit instead of just a single outlet.

  • AFCI (Arc Fault Circuit Interrupter outlets)  Similar to a GFCI outlet, these are used to prevent “heat arcing”. These too are made in circuit breaker form to protect an entire circuit.

  • Smart Outlets — Turn your lights and outlets on and off with your cell phone! These can be controlled via a central control panel, such as an ipad, or even on your smart phone via bluetooth.

  • USB — These outlets are very convenient in the kitchen, office and bedroom areas as they contain a regular outlet PLUS usb charging ports for easy charging of your cell phones and tablets!

  • Child proof outlets These outlets provide peace of mind and safety to those families with small children. Child-proof outlets have special protection to prevent kids from shoving metal forks and other objects into the outlet, thus preventing electrocution and saving your child’s life!

  • Rotating Outlets — These convenient outlets can be rotated to any direction so that your plug isn’t bent akwardly.

Move or Add a New Electric Circuit

When you think of the electrical wiring system of a house, you might know that it consists of wires and circuits. House electrical wiring in the United States is governed by the National Electrical Code (NEC), which is published by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA 70). Watt Masters safely performs all of our electrical repairs and installations up to or exceeding the current code.

Interruptions in circuit wiring are not only an inconvenience, but also present fire hazards. By making sure you have a thorough electrical inspection completed by a qualified Watt Masters electrician before buying, selling or remodeling a home, you can help make certain that your home’s electrical system will operate at the highest level of safety possible. Our trained technicians can provide whole house re-wiring and evaluation of your circuits to ensure the safe delivery of electrical current within your home.
